Funeral services for Alma Mae Atkins, 94, of Cleburne, Texas will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 4, 2026, at Bethel Temple Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Mike Mizell officiating. Burial will follow in Kimball Bend Cemetery with Kolten Fletcher, Benjamin Vallero, Justice Greger, Bill Parkhurst, Andrew Parkhurst, and Trenton Fain serving as pallbearers.
Honorary pallbearers are Knox Atkins, Jax Atkins, Landon Tapp, Patrick Hawkins, Dakota McFarland, and Colby McFarland.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6 - 8 p.m. Friday, April 3, 2026, at Rosser Funeral Home.
Mrs. Atkins passed away Sunday, March 29, 2026, in Fort Worth, Texas. She was born in Paducah, Kentucky on December 7, 1931, the daughter of Cecil and Mabel Keeling McGinnis. Alma and Windle Ray Atkins were married on June 8, 1951, in Dallas, Texas. She was a member of Bethel Temple.
Mrs. Atkins was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Windle; daughter, Debra Kay McFarland; sister, Hazel Wilson; and great grandsons, Kory Taylor Fletcher and Trenton Steven Vallero.
She is survived by her sons, Steve Atkins and wife, Amy, of Cleburne and Randell Atkins and wife, Sally, of Midlothian, Texas; grandchildren, Michelle (Kenneth) Fletcher, Marty (Dawn) Greger, Kevin (Nicole) McFarland, Erica (Alex) Parkhurst, Shane (Sam) Atkins, Nicole (Jeff) Sandman, Leigh (Matt) Vallero, and Leslie (Michael) Hawkins; great grandchildren, Kolten Fletcher, Kendle Fain, Justice Greger, Emily Potts, Dakota McFarland, Colby McFarland, Chesney McFarland, Bill Parkhurst, Andrew Parkhurst, Knox Atkins, Jay Atkins, Landon Tapp, Benjamin Vallero, Ayssa Vallero, and Patrick Hawkins; great-great grandchildren, Kimberley Parkhurst, Lynen Parkhurst, and Kallan Fletcher; sisters, Belva Johnson of Kansas City, KS and Charlene Martin of St. Louis, MO; and other family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Operation Blessing of Johnson County, 105 George Street, Cleburne, TX 76031.
