Amos David "Dave" Caraway, Jr.

Funeral services for Amos David "Dave" Caraway, Jr., 88, of Cleburne, Texas will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, December 6, 2024, in the Rosser Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Melson officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be held at 9 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow in Cope Cemetery with Chris Caraway, Clifton Caraway, Brady Ogle, Kaleb McNeese, Brady Mann, and John Elvington serving as pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers will be Doug Hurst and Lance Vincent.

He passed away Tuesday, December 3, 2024 in Cleburne.

Dave was born on September 18, 1936, in Houston, Texas to Amos David Caraway Sr and Lillian Clifton Caraway.

He married the love of his life, Patricia Timmons Caraway April 6, 1979. Together they raised a family and spent the majority of their 45 years in Crowley, Texas.

Dave built a career working at Gearhart-Owen as a Fabrication Supervisor for 20+ years, then Bell Helicopter as a helicopter mechanic and Vought Aircraft contributing his experience and knowledge to building B-2 Bombers. He also dedicated 45+ years working the Fort Worth Fats Stock Show and Rodeo providing security and guidance to the public and contestants and loved every minute of it.

Dave loved hunting, fishing, barbequing and being outdoors. He could build or fix most anything. In his younger years, he loved making bronze sculptures. He had many talents but one of his biggest passions was spending time with his family and entertaining his Grandbabies.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Bobby Caraway, sister Mary Smith, son Larry Campbell, son Kirk Caraway and daughter in law Cathy Campbell.

Dave is survived by his wife Patricia Caraway, Sister Barbara Richey; Children: Rick Caraway and Wife Marla; Robin Caraway Jackson and Kasie; Gary Campbell and Roxanne Thomas. Grandchildren: Chris Caraway and wife Annemarie; Clifton Caraway; Brady Ogle and wife Nichole; Chalee Campbell; Cassie Hurst and Husband Doug; Megan Campbell; Ashton Campbell and Brady Mann; Kaleb McNeese; Charley Ann McNeese; 12 Great Grandchildren and numerous Nieces and Nephews.
