A graveside service for Richard Allen “Dick” Andrews, 87, of Grandview, Texas will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, February 7, 2020 at Grandview Cemetery in Grandview, Texas.
Dick Andrews passed away Wednesday, January 15, 2020 in Cleburne, Texas.
Dick was born in Waterloo, Iowa on September 19, 1932, the son of Mildred Bessie (Riker) and Theodore Jay Andrews.
Dick served his country in the United States Air Force, flying 25 combat missions during the Korean War. He married Billie Jean (Allcock) on June 24, 1981 in Weatherford, Texas.
He worked for the Fort Worth Police Department, retiring as a Sergeant. He loved magic tricks and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cleburne.
Dick was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Bobbie Clara Wood; birth mother, Ruth Leavitt; sister, Virginia Lee; and brother, John T. Andrews.
He is survived by his wife, Billie Jean Andrews; sons, Alan Jay Andrews, Stephen Wayne Andrews and wife Chrystal McAlister, and Michael Prater; one step-daughter; brother, Donald Paul McCann; two grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
