Ann Metcalf passed away Monday, June 8, 2026, at her home.

She was born in Kaufman, Texas, on June 7, 1935, the daughter of Nettie Z. (Brazier) and Clifton C. McKee.

Ann was a beloved mother, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother. Her kind and caring demeanor was known by all members of her family, and among anyone who had the blessing of calling her a friend. Ann was passionate, poised, gracious, merciful, and had a whip-snap sense of humor.

She loved to laugh and spend time with family. When she worked at the Country Clothes Closet, everyone knew her as a joy-filled woman who loved to chat with her customers. She was also a well-traveled and cultured woman, having traveled to England, the Philippines, Japan, Taiwan, China, Mexico, Canada, and to several states. She loved going to the Plaza Theater.

Ann was a faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church and exemplified Christ in every way she could in her life. Her desire for others to know the love of Christ was strong.

Ann was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Bill Metcalf and second husband, Tom Nipp; brothers, Alton, Curley, and Bill McKee; and her best friend of 79 years, Lela McKee.

She is survived by her daughters, Beverly Halbrook and husband, Chip, and Alisa Tucker and husband, Gary; brother, Randall McKee and wife, Claudia; sister, Faye Little and husband, Bud; five grandchildren; eight great grandchildren with one on the way; and many other family members and friends.
