Funeral services for Joe Segars, 62, of Blum, Texas will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, November 23, 2024 at Rosser Funeral Home. A visitation with the family will be held immediately following the service. A private burial will be in the family cemetery.
Joe Segars, born January 22, 1962 in Fort Worth, Texas went to be with his Lord and Savior on November 18, 2024 joining his parents, A.J. and Martha Pearlene Segars. Joe is survived by his wife Cindy of almost 38 years, children Josh and wife Lorrin Segars of Rio Vista, Texas, Allison and husband Trevor Lane of Keene, Texas, Abby Segars of Fort Worth, Texas, Annie Segars of Blum, Texas, grandchildren Jake Segars, June Segars, Gus Segars, Brooks Lane, Cooper Lane and Tripp Lane. Siblings John and wife Michelle Segars, Cynthia Gray and Hal Morrison, Becky and husband Roy Songy, Tricia and husband David Amend, Mary and husband Steve Samuel, Susan and husband Mike Barrett, Alan and wife Michelle Segars, and Shelly and husband Wes Upchurch. Sisters-in-law, Laura and her husband David Hodges and Debbie and Troy Campbell. Along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Joe's early years were spent in Fort Worth, Texas. In 1976, the family moved to Blum, Texas. Joe entered Blum High School in 10th grade and graduated there in 1980. After graduation, he began working in the family business. Joe had a knack for fixing anything mechanical and often using his creative abilities to design and build many beautiful pieces. For most of his life, Joe took pride in improving and maintaining the family gathering place at the "Farm", near Blum.
Joe was the ultimate family man, also known as "Pawpaw," and loved to be surrounded by his wife, children and grandchildren. The family enjoyed traveling together, often visiting Florida, South Padre Island and the mountains in Angel Fire, New Mexico. He and Cindy enjoyed their times together watching sunsets and enjoying their magnificent view at their home. Anyone who knew Joe can probably still hear his laugh and see his smile.
