Antonio Ruiz Ardila, Jr.

Funeral services for Antonio Ruiz Ardila, Jr., 79, of Joshua, Texas will be conducted at 9 a.m. Friday, April 25, 2025, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cleburne. Burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery with Michael Bartolowits, Jordan Riggs, Ty Rigsby, Christopher Sewell, Sabastian Ardila, and Tony Chandler serving as pallbearers.

Visitation at Rosser Funeral Home will be held from 6 - 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 24, 2025, with The Rosary beginning at 7 p.m.

Antonio”Jr.” Ruiz Ardila, 79, passed away at home on Saturday, April 19, 2025.

He was born Dec. 16, 1945, in San Antonio, Texas, to Raquel and Antiono Ardila Sr. He was the oldest of 15 children.

He met and married Esparanza Linda Trinidad. They had 3 children. Later, they moved to Meridian, Texas, and then to Cleburne, Texas, where they settled down. He worked as a scaffolder at Comanche Peak Nuclear Power Plant until he retired in 1995. In his spare time, he enjoyed woodwork, fishing, and spending time with his family. He was a Joker, Weatherman, and personal Google Maps.

Antonio is survived by his children Martina Bartolowits, husband Mark, Antonio Ardila, wife Veronica, and Teresa Sewell, husband Christopher. Grandchildren, Clerissa Rigsby and husband Ty, Vanessa Dilworth and husband Jacob, Jordan Riggs, and wife Pauline. Briana Riggs, Shanell Green, Tony Chandler, and wife Brooklyn, Sabastian Ardila, Carmen Ardila, and Michael Bartolowits. And 15 great-grandchildren. Siblings Ida Martinez, Naomi Ardila, Rudy Ardila, Roger Ardila, Juanita Ardila, Deedee Rodriguez, Margie Martinez, Daniel Ardila, Esteven Ardila, and Grace Ardila, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Raquel and Antiono Ardila Sr., and siblings Homer Ardila, Ruth Martinez, Michael Ardila, and Francisco Ardila.

He was greatly loved and will be dearly missed.
