A memorial service celebrating the life, of Robert Ray Ball, 89, of Cleburne, Texas will be conducted at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2012, at the Emmanuel Seventh-day Adventist Church in Cleburne. Pastor Billy E. Wright will officiate.
Mr. Ball will be buried at DFW National Cemetery at a later date.
Mr. Ball passed away on Sunday, Jan. 22, 2012 at his home. He was born in Donaldsonville, Louisiana on April 12, 1922, the son of Susie (Cost) and Isaiah Ball.
Mr. Ball served his country in the United States Army during WWII.
He was a retired carpenter and was a member of the Emmanuel Seventh-day Adventist Church in Cleburne.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Edith Woods.
Mr. Ball is survived by his son, Delman Wesley Ball of Baltimore, Maryland; daughters, Denise Roberta Jones, also of Baltimore, Maryland, Vonzella Lee of Cleburne, Armanda Susian Ball of Dallas, Patrice Elizabeth Ball of Baltimore, Maryland, Julia Glover Glass of Arlington, and Scharon Lavear Ball of Baltimore, Maryland; sister, Delores Gomez of Donaldsonville, Louisiana; nine grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
