Sam Barajas beloved by all who knew him. Samuel was "Sam’s” given name , but known to his family as “Harpy.” He loved the Lord and was a beloved son, brother, cousin, uncle, nephew and friend to all who knew him. His sense of humor made all those around him smile. His legacy and influence didn’t come to an end with his death. He passed quickly and unexpectedly on September 7, 2021, at the age of 43 in Portland, Oregon.

Sam was born in El Paso, Texas in 1978 to Manuel Jesus and Mariaelena Barajas. Sam’s passion was helping others. The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Sam. He loved to laugh, spend time with his family, travel, play sports: biking, scuba diving and spend quiet evenings with friends.

His pleasant personality was contagious to everyone he met. Sam is survived by his mother Mariaelena, his sister Vickie, his brothers Manny, Dan, João and many aunts, uncles, cousins, his two nieces Kaley and Neena, nephew Alex and all his friends that loved him.
