Graveside services for Barbara Ann Laramore, 84, of Grandview, Texas will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 30, 2022, in the Glenwood Cemetery, Alvarado, Texas. The Rev. Kenneth Coleman will officiate.

A visitation will be held at the cemetery at 10 a.m. prior to the service.

Barbara passed away Thursday, April 28, 2022, in Fort Worth, Texas. She was born in Alvarado, Texas on September 19, 1937, the daughter of Rachel (Jones) and Homer E. Laramore.

Barbara was an accounting clerk at General Motors for over 20 years.

A Grandview resident since 1969, Barbara enjoyed several hobbies and passions, including coaching and playing softball. She was one of the four owners of The Cookout Restaurant on Hwy 67 until 1990.

Barbara also operated a small farm consisting of cattle and goats.

She was a loyal and honest individual who would always be direct with you. Barbara stood her ground and was respected for that.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Betty Sparks; and brother, Frank Laramore.

Barbara is survived by her lifetime friend, Dona Weeks of Grandview; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
