Ben Hall

A Celebration of Life for Ben Hall, 89, of Cleburne, Texas will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 14, 2025, at Field Street Baptist Church with Dr. John Hall officiating.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 2 - 3:30p.m. Sunday, April 13, 2025, at Rosser Funeral Home.

Ben passed away Tuesday, April 8, 2025, in Fort Worth, Texas. He was born in Cleburne on February 11, 1936, the son of Ima (Chapman) and Theodore Hall. Ben married Linda Barber on March 27, 1964, in Gladewater, Texas. He was a member of Field St. Baptist church where he served as a deacon for 50 yrs. He taught math at the High School & College level, as well as coached basketball and other sports. He also worked for Commanche Peak Nuclear Plant for 17 yrs. Ben’s legacy is his love for God, family, friends and his servant’s heart. He was known for his gentle spirit and his kindness he showed to everyone. He served in many ways at Field Street and the community. He will be remembered for being a faithful greeter especially in the children’s building giving every child high fives on Sunday. Ben lived a “Godly” life. His children and grandchildren would say, “Pop lived a life well-served.”

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Charles Hall; and sister, Maxine Wright.

Ben is survived by his wife of 61 years, Linda Hall of Cleburne; son, Chris Hall and wife, Shelly, of Arlington, Texas; daughter, Stephanie Traweek and husband, Justen, of Bentonville, Arkansas; brothers, Waymon Hall of Granbury, Texas, Joe Hall and wife, Margaret, of Waxahachie, Texas, James Hall of Venus, Texas, and Ernie Hall and wife, Annette, of Fort Worth; grandchildren, Alexa Loper and husband, Nathaniel, Savannah Gresso and husband, Collin, Payton Hall, Elijah Traweek and wife, Hannah, Elle Traweek, and Emerson Traweek; great grandchildren, Matthew Loper and Beckham Traweek; and other family members and dear friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Field Street Baptist Church Missions, 210 N. Field Street, Cleburne, TX 76033.
