Funeral services for Betty Ruth Wright Murrah, 76, of Cleburne, Texas will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday, November 22, 2023, at the Westhill Church of Christ with Mr. Russell Crook officiating. Burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6 - 8 p.m. Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at Rosser Funeral Home.

Betty passed away Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at her home. She was born in Cleburne on June 5, 1947, the daughter of William Thomas and Naomi Ruth Brown Wright.

Betty and Harold Stanley Murrah were married in March of 1974. Retiring from the billing department of Lone Star Gas, later Atmos Energy; Betty went to work at the Guinn Justice Center in 2006 until her final retirement in 2018. A member of the Westhill Church of Christ, Betty was known for her contagious smile and a special love for her granddaughters. "Granny" never met a stranger.

Betty is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harold Murrah; and brothers, Billy and James Wright.

She is survived by her daughter, ShayLynn McDonald and husband, Cody; granddaughters, Ashlynn McDonald, and Madelynn McDonald, all of Cleburne; brother, Harold Wright and wife, Marlene; and numerous other family members and friends.
