Bobbie Upshaw

Funeral services for Bobbie Ruth Upshaw, 74, of Cleburne, Texas will be conducted at 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at Henderson St. Baptist Church with Dr. Neale Oliver officiating, assisted by Lucas Mackey. Serving as pallbearers will be Robert Lowry, Mark Upshaw, Tyler Turner, Matthew Thornton, Dean Allen and Johnny Cappers. Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Abt, David Witherspoon and Peter Hebert. Burial will follow in Springtown Cemetery in Springtown, Texas.

Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6-8:00 P.M., Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at Henderson St. Baptist Church.

Bobbie Ruth Upshaw passed away on Friday, November 17, 2023 in Fort Worth. She was born September 11, 1949 in Fort Worth to Naomi Ruth (Harris)and Robert Lucian Lowry. She married Lindsey Upshaw on June 3, 1972 in Newark, Texas.

Bobbie loved teaching 5th grade in the public school system, Sunday School and Vacation Bible School.

Mrs. Upshaw was a bookkeeper for Best Asphalt Co. and a member of Henderson St. Baptist Church. She also loved yard work, especially working with flowers. She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Skipper Upshaw.

Survivors include her beloved husband, Lindsey Upshaw of Cleburne; son, Robert Upshaw and wife, Sarah of Colleyville; daughter, Nichole Freeman and husband, Bradley of Benbrook; grandchildren, Lillian and Oliver Freeman and Charlotte, John , Ava, and Kate Upshaw; brother, Robert Lowry and wife, Debbi of Thrall; sisters, Becky Turner and husband, Dennis of Willow Park and Beverly Sylvester of Fort Worth.
