Funeral services for Dovie Joe Brown, 78, of Cleburne, Texas will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 29, 2011 at the Westhill Church of Christ with Bro. Ben Mieth officiating assisted by Bro. Jerry Nelson. Burial will follow in Covington Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors from 6 – 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2011 at Rosser Funeral Home.
Serving as pallbearers will be Shea Lonon, Calen Camp, Colt Ryan Brown, Jerry Lonon, Floyd Camp, Jr. and Larry Thompson.
Mrs. Brown passed away on Monday, Dec. 26, 2011 in Cleburne. She was born in Oklahoma on March 2, 1933 to Henry Scarberry and Pansy (Wilkerson) Scarberry.
She married H. B. Brown on March 11, 1953 in Cleburne. Dovie was retired from Walls Industries. She was a member of Westhill Church of Christ and of Sam’s Camping Club.
Dovie Joe Brown is survived by her husband, H. B. Brown of Cleburne; son, Mark Brown and wife, Melissa, of Stephenville, TX; daughters, Debbie Thompson and husband, Larry, Shelia Camp, all of Cleburne, and Sherry Lonon and husband, Jerry, of Euless, TX; brother, Wando “Son” Scarberry and wife, Visie, of Alvarado, TX; sister, Billy Henslee of Cleburne; grandchildren, Kristi, Shea, Calen, Catie, Colt Ryan, Cheyanne, Donna, and Faith; and great grandchildren, Daizie, Cambri, Noah, Justin, Jacob, and Josh.
