George "Pete" William Calvert

Graveside services for George “Pete” Calvert, 91, of Grandview, Texas will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, April 7, 2020 at Greenacres Memorial Park in Cleburne. No visitation is scheduled.
George “Pete” Calvert passed away on Wednesday, April 1, 2020 in Fort Worth. He was born to Grace (Heine) and Virgil Calvert on July 29, 1928 in Cleburne. Pete married Mary Gregory Israel on November 23, 1980 in Cleburne.
Mr. Calvert served his country proudly with the signal corps in the United States Army during the Korean War. Pete was retired from the Santa Fe Railroad. He loved hunting, fishing and spending time with his family and friends. Pete was preceded in death by his parents, and two sons, Wayne Calvert and Kelly W. Israel.
Pete Calvert is survived by his beloved wife of 39 years, Mary Calvert of Grandview, Texas; daughters, Terri Herridge and husband, David and Suzanne Jeffcoat and husband George, all of Groesbeck, Texas, Teresa Israel of Rio Vista, Texas, and Sherri Israel of Hurst, Texas; sons, Ronnie Calvert of Houston, Texas and Dwight Israel and wife, Jae-Hee of Fredricksburg, Virginia; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; brother, Tucson Calvert and wife, Mary; sister, Margaret Spoon of Cleburne, Texas; and many other relatives and friends.
