Funeral services for Mary Ruth Israel Calvert, 91, of Grandview, Texas will be conducted at
10:00 A.M., Saturday, September 18, 2021 in the Rosser Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Eddy Carrell officiating.
Burial will follow at Marystown Cemetery with Dwight Israel, Jason Dunlap, Jake Israel, Paul Podhajsky, Jimmy Stephens, and Jason Kelly serving as pallbearers.
Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6-8:00 P.M., Friday, September 17, 2021 at Rosser Funeral Home.
Mary passed away Friday, September 10, 2021in Hallettsville, Texas. She was born in Chico, Texas on July 13, 1930 to Nettie (Strickland) and Lee Gregory and spent her childhood in Woodville, Oklahoma.
Mary moved back to Texas in seventh grade and graduated from Joshua High School in 1948.
She worked for many years at Johns Manville in Cleburne, Texas and was of the Christian faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Ralph Israel and second husband, G.W. “Pete” Calvert; and son, Kelly Wayne Israel.
Survivors include her son, Dwight Israel and wife, Jae-Hee of Fredricksburg, Virginia; daughters, Teresa Israel of Rio Vista, Texas and Sherri Israel of Hurst Texas; daughteri-in-law, Nikki Israel; two stepdaughters; one stepson; several grandchildren, many great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; and a host of other relatives and friends.
