Carol McMahon

Our precious sister and aunt, Carol Ann (Cannon) McMahon, 70, went home to the arms of the Lord on Monday, July 31, 2023. A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, August 5, 2023 in the Life Center of Henderson Street Baptist Church in Cleburne.

Carol was born to Jack Louis and Julia Ann (Hurd) Cannon on July 9, 1953. Carol grew up in a close Christian loving home with her parents and at 17, a new little brother that she quickly became attached to and helped raise.

Carol worked in the family flower shop for over 20+ years. In 1972, she married the love of her life, Ronald McMahon, who precedes her in death.

She was our fun loving, want to take care of you, hard working creative one. In the last 15-20 years, she started doing crafts and teaching her little helper, her niece Rebecca to give crafts to family and friends and also selling a few of them. We will forever cherish those gifts and her excitement of making them for us.

Carol is survived by her loving family including her loving baby brother, Scott Cannon and wife, Debbie, of Cleburne; nephews, John Brockway and wife, Jenny, of Aubrey and Jack Cannon of Cleburne; niece, Rebecca Cannon of Cleburne; great nephews, Hunter Brockway and wife, Samantha of Florida and Logan Brockway of Justin; great nieces, Ashly and Cory Dismore of Tennessee and Alyssa Taylor of Arlington; four great-great nephews and niece, all of Tennessee; aunt, Lalita Shelton of Fort Worth; and several cousins.

The family would like to thank Ridgeview Nursing for the years of care for Carol and for Legends Hospice, especially Hannah for the attentive care given these past weeks.
