A graveside service for Celestine "Sally" (Sumbera) Haschke, 100, of Cleburne, Texas will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Monday, August 17, 2026 in the Winchester Cemetery in Winchester, Texas.

Sally Haschke passed away on Tuesday, August 11, 2026 at her home in Cleburne. She was born February 12, 1926 in Holland, Texas to John and Annie (Poncik) Sumbera.

She graduated from Holland High School in in 1944.  After secretarial school she became the administrative assistant of Major Renshaw at McCloskey Veteran's Hospital in Temple, Texas during World War II.   Sally married Paul Haschke in 1950 and they made their home in Fort Worth where she worked for Soil Conservation Service. 

After moving to Cleburne with their three children and the death of her husband, Sally worked at Kimbro Clinic in medical billing.  Even though she worked outside the home at times, Sally was a full time homemaker. Sally and Paul were  founding members of the Ascension Lutheran Church in Cleburne. She loved sewing, quilting, crocheting and making ceramics. Sally enjoyed playing the piano and was devoted to her family. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband of 25 years Otto Paul Haschke; three brothers and two sisters.

Survivors include her son, Timothy Paul Haschke; daughters, Susan Haschke McCormack and husband Carl and Cindy Haschke Milsap and husband Monnie; grandchildren, Lana Milsap, Natalie Haith and husband Jordan, Cathleen Sparks and husband Ethan and Corey Epperson and husband Kyle; five great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
