Dennis Crecelius, 84, of Rio Vista, Texas passed away on Monday, December 23, 2019 in Grandview, Texas.
Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6-8:00 P.M., Thursday, December 26, 2019 at Rosser Funeral Home in Cleburne, Texas. A private graveside service is set for Friday with Mr. Deon Melton and Mr. Michael McCorkle officiating.
Dennis was born June 10, 1935 in Rio Vista to Eldie and Elva Crecelius. He married the love of his life, Ada Ruth Tuley on September 11, 1954 in Durant, Oklahoma. Dennis was a retired Church of Christ preacher and a member of the Granbury Street Church of Christ in Cleburne. He loved to hunt, fish and go to the gun range with Ada Ruth.
Dennis was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ada
Ruth Crecelius, on March 9, 2011; his parents; granddaughter, Amy; and sister-in-law, Pat.
He is survived by his daughters, Barbara Wood and husband, Mark, of Corsicana, Texas and Sophie Crecelius of Waxahachie, Texas; son, Dennis Crecelius and wife, Kathleen of Austin, Texas; seven grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; brothers, Donald Crecelius and wife, Joy and Darrell Crecelius and wife, Linda, all of Cleburne and David Crecelius of Lake Whitney, Texas; sisters, Dianne Melton and husband, Charles and Dona Phipps and husband, Butch, all of Cleburne.
