Funeral services for Margie Faye Curtis, 89, of Cleburne, Texas will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, August 23, 2019 in the Rosser Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Stephen McCoy and Bro. Daniel Kraft will officiate. Burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors from 10 a.m. to 11a.m. prior to the service.
Margie went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 in Keene, Texas with family by her side.
She was born in Morgan, Texas on September 18 1929 to Ester Velma (Jones) and William Eddie Birdwell.
Margie and Bobby Joe Curtis were married on March 19, 1952 and spent most of their married life spreading the gospel at churches from Hillsboro to Hill City, Texas.
She loved playing the piano and guitar while singing, often accompanied by sons Charles and Mike.
Always a student of the Bible, Margie was a member of The Heights Church with a willingness to share her testimony to anyone that would listen.
She worked in Rangaire Corporate offices and retired from National Yellow Pages.
Margie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bobby; son, Charles; three sisters, Ada Lockett, Louise Moser and an infant sister; and two brothers, Trittes and Bill Birdwell.
She is survived by her son, Mike Curtis and wife, Lisa, of Cleburne; daughter-in-law, Linda Kraft, of Albuquerque; sisters, Patsy Mathis of Lakeside Village and Fran Maughn of Utah; 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren; numerous other relatives and friends including many nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.
