Daniel Astalas

Graveside services for Daniel Astalas, 61, of Arlington, Texas, formerly of Keene, will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, April 25, 2024 at Keene Cemetery in Keene with Reverend Ken Coleman officiating.

Daniel Astalas passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2024 in Arlington. He was born May 12, 1962 in Cleveland, Ohio to Veronika (Smolcic) and Nicolaie Astalas.

He went to Mount Vernon Academy and Westlake High School in Ohio and then graduated from Chislom Trail Academy in 1980. Daniel earned a Bachelor of Science Medical Tech at Tarleton State University and studied Biology at UTA, class of 1991.

Daniel was a retired clinical lab scientist at John Peter Smith Hospital, with 22 years of service.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Xiangyan Zhang Astalas; mother, Veronika Astalas; sister, Anna Astalas; brother, Michael Joseph Astalas, niece, Gabi Sicher; and nephew, Ian Sicher; and many other relatives and friends.
