Funeral services for David James Cummings, 68, of Cleburne, Texas will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 30, 2025 in Rosser Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Kenneth Coleman officiating. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery in Alvarado.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6-8:00 p.m., Monday, December 29, at Rosser Funeral Home.

David James Cummings passed away on Sunday, December 21, 2025 in Cleburne. He was born January 4, 1957 in Houston to Travis and Jeanette (Smith) Cummings. David married Sherry Taylor on August 26, 1983 in Bryan, Texas.

David worked at Walls Industries for 23 years and later on as a plant manager for a petroleum/oil company. He loved to fish and loved his dogs, Gracie, Max and Bubba dearly. He was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Bobby Martin.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Sherry Cummings; son, Todd Sain; daughter, Amanda Sain; brother, Billy Earl Overman; sister-in-law, Joy Garey and husband, Jim; numerous nieces and nephews; and many friends.
