Funeral services for David Glenn Wilbanks, 76, of Cleburne, Texas will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 1, 2024, in the Rosser Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Dennis Wright officiating. A private family burial will follow in Baker Lain Cemetery.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6 - 8 p.m. Thursday, February 29, 2024 at Rosser Funeral Home.

David passed away Tuesday, February 27, 2024.

David was CHS class of 1966 and a Baylor graduate. He was a partner with his father, F.G. "Curly" Wilbanks Jr. at Wilbanks Oil Company of Cleburne.

David was the older brother of Kayla Hall and Leah Warner. He was a loving husband to Judy to one week shy of fifty years. He was a supportive father to Benjamin and Sarah and the best grandfather to Beau, Brazos and all his nieces and nephews.

He was a longtime member of the Rotary Club and served on the Layland Museum Board. He enjoyed reading, Scrabble, being with his family, friends and customers. David was a faithful listener to J. Vernon McGee and a member of the Schaffer Sunday School class at First Baptist Church - Dallas.

"He was cheerful in all weathers. Never shirked a task. Splendid behavior."

David was a good man.
