IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Debra Rae
Westerman
August 21, 1953 – November 30, 2025
We are devastated to share the sudden passing of Debra Rae Westerman, of Cleburne Texas on November 30, 2025. She was surrounded in the peace and comfort of loved ones as she transitioned Home.
She was born August 21, 1953, in Topeka, KS, to Melvin & Barbara Bradley.
Debra had many titles in her journey of life but the ones that she would love to be remembered by most are Loving Wife, Great Mother & Amazing Nana.
She spent 35 years with her best friend and soulmate, Steve Westerman. They took the plunge and made it official on September 22, 2007, with an intimate ceremony surrounded by their children and grandchildren at Trickle Creek Cabins in Bluff Dale, Texas.
A lover of the outdoors and water, she spent many summers on the river with her husband, children and grandchildren. She was a great fishing companion and pool table shark. Although her husband reigned at the physical table, she dominated the online game. She loved music, singing and the guitar.
Above anything, Debra enjoyed spending time with family, especially her precious grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She thoroughly enjoyed hosting family events and spent many years going above and beyond to ensure a great time was had by all. Her warmth, sense of humor, joyful laugh and lighthearted presence will forever be missed by everyone that knew her.
Debra was preceded in death by her parents and sons, Austin and Justin McMahon.
She leaves behind her husband, Steve Westerman; her daughters Whitney Skiles, Brandy Lehew and husband Byron, Tracey Morgan and husband Brandon; brother Curtis Bradley and wife Vicky; sister Brenda Jerome and husband Dean; her cherished grandchildren Ty Sims, Jake Andrus, Trinatie Wigand, Cole McMahon, Kaden Morgan, Zaylon Rahmon and Brent McMahon; her adored great-grandchildren Cohen and Asher Wigand; numerous nieces and nephews; tons of extended family and friends.
The family takes comfort in knowing that she is pain free and no longer struggling. Knowing that she has reunited with her boys also gives them peace at the loss of her physical life.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date, as her family learns to navigate their first Christmas without her.
Life is a journey of return - and she has simply gone ahead. Gone from their sight but never from their hearts.
