Donald R. "Don" Waits took his last breath on earth and his first breath in the arms of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on July 10, 2025, in Keene, Texas . 

A Celebration of life memorial service will be held at 11am, Saturday, August 23, 2025 at Henderson St. Baptist Church, 919 E Henderson St. Cleburne, TX.

He was born on December 9, 1935 in Blum to Clemmy and Oma (McElroy) Waits.

Don was a devoted family man and served his country in the Navy on the USS Essex aircraft carrier in the South Pacific during the Korean War Conflict.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Callie; daughter, Edythe; and son, Terry Don.

Don is survived by his two sons, Steve Waits and wife, Gina, of Cleburne Texas and Mike Waits and wife, Karen, of Mansfield Texas. He was also blessed with 11 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
