Donnie Elliott

Donnie R. Elliott, a devoted Christian, beloved son, brother, uncle, and father figure, passed away peacefully on August 10, 2025, just a week shy of his 71st birthday.

Born on August 17, 1954, Donnie lived a life marked by kindness, service, and unwavering faith. He was a man who never met a stranger-greeting everyone he encountered with warmth, generosity, and a ready smile. His love for people, especially those in need, was evident in the way he gave of himself, whether through caregiving, cooking, or sharing the Word of God.

He spent much of his life working in restaurants, where he found joy in serving others. Later, he became a caregiver for the elderly, offering not just assistance but true companionship. His heart for the homeless led him to the streets of Lancaster, where he would preach, pray, and serve meals to those in need until his health no longer allowed.

Among his greatest joys was spending time with his beloved dog, Jasper, and his cherished mother, Margie White. But perhaps one of the most defining roles of his life was that of a father figure to his nephew, Brandon Elliott, whom he raised with deep love and devotion.

In his free time, Donnie found peace in simple things-going to church, walking, and being with those he loved most. His presence brought comfort and his faith brought hope to all who knew him.

He is survived by his loving mother, Margie White; brother, Johnnie Elliott; cousin, Donna Lynn; nephew and son in heart, Brandon Elliott; Brandon's spouse, Joanna Trevino; and step-grandchildren Chelsei Long, Jetta Anderson, and Cooper Trevino, all of whom he loved deeply and welcomed as family.

Preceded in death by his brothers, Richard Elliott and Ronnie Elliott; grandmother, Ocie Skiles; uncle, Dwain Lynn; and step-father, Bert Tingle .

Donnie's life was a shining example of compassion, humility, and faith. Though he will be deeply missed, the legacy he leaves behind lives on in the lives he touched and the love he gave so freely.
