Elberta Jewel Weatherred was born on January 26, 1935, in Johnston County, Oklahoma.

For many years, Elberta worked as an administrative assistant for various companies, including the Gifted Students Institute.

Elberta was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 69 years, Thurman Wayne; her parents, Joel Clinton Costner and Lorene Leslie Costner; and her oldest son, Joel Allen.

She is survived by her son, Wayne Clinton, and daughter-in-law, Rachael; her grandchildren, Claire and James; her brother, John, and sister-in-law, Kay; her niece, Misti Costner Holland; and her nephews, Kevin and Clint Costner.

She is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Melissa, and Melissa's husband, Tommy Waldren; her grandchildren, Wade and his wife, Jennifer, and Amanda and her husband, Brad Enochs; six great-grandchildren; and her sister-in-law, Janet Thompson, and family.

Elberta cherished her family and friends, who will remember her with love.
