Ernest Moreno, Jr.

Ernest Gaytan Moreno Jr., 63, passed away on April 2^nd, 2024. Born on June 1^st in 1960, he now happily joins his mother and father, Virginia and Ernest Moreno in Heaven. He is also joining his brother and sister-in-law Louie and Lisa Moreno. He is survived by his children, Rachel and Ernest (Emma) Moreno III, brothers Raymond and Martin Moreno, as well as his numerous friends.

Ernest was unlike anyone. There is no one word that could describe him. He was smart, ambitious, and left memorable impressions on everyone he met. He was a creator. Anyone who knew him knew that he was always building a car, or a home, or a new type of tool or simply a piece of artwork. He was committed to his goals, which is evident though his 35+ years at General Motors. He was wild, which was readily apparent by his driving skills on the I-20. Most of all, he never took no as an answer, which he used to provide for his family.   

His wake will be held on Wednesday, April 17^th from 6 – 8 PM at Rosser Funeral Home in Cleburne, TX. His service will be on Thursday, April 18^th at 2 PM. Following service, we will have a procession to his final resting place at the Rio Vista Cemetery in Rio Vista, TX.
