Graveside services for Ernestine K. Essex, 88, of Morgan, Texas will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, March 2, 2026, at Laurel Land Memorial Park in Fort Worth, Texas with Pastor Lauren Christianberry officiating.

Mrs. Essex passed away Tuesday, February 24, 2026, in Cleburne, Texas. She was born in Fort Worth on November 10, 1937, to Clydie (Branson) and Herman King.

A member of the Order of the Eastern Star, she was of the Methodist faith.

Mrs. Essex is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Billy Essex.

She is survived by her son, Jerroll Essex and wife, Donna, of Morgan; daughter, Carol McFadden of Joshua, Texas; brother Jimmy King and wife, Carolyn, of Fort Worth; sister, Roberta Matthews and husband, Richard, also of Fort Worth; four grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; and other family members and friends.
