Funeral services for Fortino Torres, 78, of Godley, Texas will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 29, 2024, in the Rosser Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Caddo Cemetery near Joshua, Texas,

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6 - 9 p.m. Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at Rosser Funeral Home with The Rosary beginning at 7 p.m.

Fortino Torres passed away on Sunday, May 19, 2024 at his home. He was born in Mexico on August 12, 1945, the son of Nicomedes Alejo and Santiago Torres. In March of 1979, Fortino married Guadalupe Ayala in California.

Mr. Torres worked in construction and was of the Catholic faith. He enjoyed music and doing word searches.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Abraham and Lorenzo Torres; and sisters, Beatrice, Paula, Tanila, and Feliz Torres.

Mr. Torres is survived by his wife, Guadalupe of Godley; sons Eduardo, Rodrigo, and Enrique Torres, all of California; daughters, Ana Sanchez of Godley, Maria and Nina Torres, both of California; sister, Marcela Torres of Mexico; 10 grandchildren, Fernando, Esmeralda, Mercedez, Ozziel, Itzel, Manuel, Moises, Matilde, Maritza, and Alejandro; four great grandchildren, Giovanni, Moises, Ezequiel, and one to be; and other family members and friends.
