Gary Dean Voth, 83, of Keene, Texas, passed away peacefully on July 16th, 2026. He was a much loved husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle, cousin and friend who will be missed deeply.

Gary was born in Okeene, Oklahoma on October 21, 1942 to Vernon and Pat Voth. He had a younger sister named Verna who he dubbed "Bunny" and she has been known as that every since. They grew up on a farm in Oklahoma farming wheat, raising cattle and managing a dairy. Gary loved animals of all types and was mischievous and full of energy. 

He went to high school in Keene and married Karen, someone he had known since childhood as she was raised on a neighboring farm. They were married for 17 years and had a son, Nick and a daughter, Terri. 

Gary worked in many careers as an electrician, owner of a motorcycle shop, and owner of a van conversion shop. He also started a roofing company with a partner where they specialized in industrial metal roofing, particularly copper roofing. He also started another company that made copper specialty pieces for historical buildings and ornate designs. He sold his part of the company and branched out on his own to do consulting which had him traveling all over the world. He has done work in Chile, Argentina, Thailand and Saudi Arabia to name a few. He has also worked as a machinist and made many parts and machines for various clients. He was a mechanical genius who loved a good puzzle. 

In 1994 he married his wife Martie. They were married for just short of 32 years and went on many adventures. He had an RV4 which they flew to South Dakota several times. Martie was always up for an adventure with Gary. 

In his later years he loved spending time with family and friends. He enjoyed eating out and hanging out at the coffee shop working on jigsaw puzzles. He loved going to church and was a big supporter in his local church serving as an elder and teaching the weekly lesson study. He had a great sense of humor and was very witty. He was a man of few words, but when he spoke, he had something to say. 

He is survived by his wife, Martie, son Nick and his wife Julie, grandchildren Quinn and Percy, daughter Terri and her husband Jose, sister Bunny and brother-in-law Henry, nephew Shawn and his wife Teresa and their family, and cousin Brenda and her family, step daughter Shawn and her husband Ronnie and children Keifer and Chole and their families and her brothers Rhett and Flynt and their families.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 26th at 3:30 pm at the Keene Seventh-day Adventist Church Chapel in Keene Texas. All are invited to attend and come share your stories.
