Funeral services for Gene Alston Johnston, Jr., 68, of Alvarado, Texas will be conducted at 12 p.m. Friday, August 22, 2025, in the Rosser Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Darrell Thomas officiating.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. prior to the service.

Gene Johnston passed away Monday, August 18, 2025, in Fort Worth, Texas. He was born in Dallas, Texas on September 27, 1956, the son of Norma Jean (Wall) and Gene Alston Johnston.

Gene was the owner of Johnston Products of Dallas, Inc.

He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Patty Johnston.

Gene is survived by his wife, Melinda Tripp of Alvarado; daughter, Lori Chung of Mesquite, Texas; grandsons, Alex and Andrew; brother, Randy Johnston of Waxahachie; nephew, Hunter Johnston of Alvarado; and other family members and friends.
