Funeral services for Glenda Janice Powell, 87, of Cleburne, Texas will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 14, 2026, in the Rosser Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. John Glover officiating. Burial will follow in Greenacres Memorial Park Cemetery.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6 – 8 p.m. Monday, April 13, 2026, at Rosser Funeral Home.

Glenda Powell was born in Fairy, Texas on November 10, 1938, the daughter of Vera (Flippin) and Buster Glenn. Glenda married Rosey Powell on June 2, 1956, in Cleburne. She taught school in Cleburne for many years, impacting the lives of the many children she taught. Glenda was a member of Field Street Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Rosey Powell; and brothers, George, Gene, and Joe Glenn.

Glenda is survived by her daughter, Melanie Howe, of Cleburne; sons, Roger Powell of Miles, Texas and Ronny Powell of Cleburne; grandchildren, Blayne, Blake, Holli, Amanda, and Ryan; great grandchildren, Leyton, Aydin, Kyler, Benito Jr., Rowan, Rori, and Emelia; brother, Wendell Glenn and wife, Linda, of Burleson, Texas; and numerous other family members and friends.
