THE FUNERAL SERVICES for Otis Elbert Hale III, 90, of Grandview, Texas AT THE GRANDVIEW CHURCH OF CHRIST HAVE BEEN CANCELED DUE TO COVID. THE FAMILY WILL HOLD A PRIVATE GRAVESIDE Thursday, December 17, 2020 at the Grandview Cemetery.
VISITATION WILL STILL BE held from 6 – 8 p.m. Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at Rosser Funeral Home.
Serving as pallbearers will be Alan Hale, Lucas Hale, Will Hale, Chris Anthony, Michael Anthony, Kyle Anthony, Justin Irwin, and Matt Irwin. Honorary pallbearers will be Willis Hughes, Danny Hughes, Joe Hughes, Hoby Hughes, Bill Hughes, Phillip Gober, Kevin Moore, Dylan Moore, and Randy Roden.
Otis Hale passed away Sunday, December 13, 2020 in Grandview. He was born in Grandview on December 6, 1930, the son of Anna Lee (Person) and Otis Elbert Hale, Jr.
Otis married Norma Chilson Dowling on October 4, 1991. He served his country in the United States Army and was a paramedic. Otis was a life-long member of the Grandview Church of Christ.
He is preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Johnnie Ruth Hale; sons, Richard Hale and David Hale; and brother, Barney Hale.
Otis is survived by his wife, Norma L. Hale of Grandview; son, John Hale of Granbury, Texas; daughters, Laurie Anthony and husband, James, and Carrie Irwin and husband, Curtis, all of Grandview, and Sherrie Southard and husband, Ken, of Burleson, Texas; step-children, Leisel Moseley and husband, Gary, Steven Dowling and wife, Pamela, and Meredith Bailey and husband, DeWayne, all of Grandview; grandchildren, Lucas Hale, Will Hale, Elisa Carnes, Alan Hale, Jana Forero, Chris Anthony, Michael Anthony, Kyle Anthony, Justin Irwin, Matt Irwin, and Kenedie Southard; step-grandchildren, John and Justin Moseley, Kimberly Roberts, Timothy Moseley, Dylan Moseley, Lane Dowling, Jarod Dowling, Conner Bailey, Regan Bailey, Madie Bailey, Allie Pannell, and Britni Bailey; and 23 great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
