Obituary for Dorothy Higginson (Matthews)
Graveside services for Dorothy Higginson, 76, of Cleburne, Texas will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, October 3, 2016 at Echols Cemetery on Jennings Mountain in Brownsboro, Texas.
The family will receive visitors from 2 – 4 p.m. Sunday, October 2, 2016 at Rosser Funeral Home.
Mrs. Higginson passed away Thursday, September 29, 2016 in Cleburne. She was born in Kemp, Texas on January 15, 1940, the daughter of Fannie Mae (Speer) and Gene Matthews.
Mrs. Higginson was preceded in death by her parents; son, Eugene Wilson; sister, Carolyn Matthews; and grandson, Alton Caylor III.
She is survived by her sons, Allen Shaw of Cleburne and Randy Shaw of Alvarado, Texas; daughters, Tina Shaw of Cleburne and Mary Caylor of Deleon, Texas; sisters, Fannie Gene Matthews, Grace Ellis and husband, Treveland and Mary Sue Matthews; five grandchildren and one great grandchild.
