Avery Hines Jr

Services for Avery Onnen Hines, Jr., 85 will be conducted at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2018 at Rosser Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Rosehill Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, Aug. 20, 2018 at Rosser Funeral Home.
Avery went to be with the Lord on Sunday, Aug. 19, 2018 in Cleburne, Texas. He was born March 29, 1933 in Cleburne to Inez and Avery Onnen Hines, Sr. Avery served his country in the United States Air Force. He married Melba Jo Burdette on March 30, 1956 in Cleburne. Avery retired from Santa Fe Railroad where he was a supervisor and he was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Melba Jo, in 2010; and sister, Linda Theide.
He is survived by his sons, David Hines and wife, April, of Cleburne, Shane Hines and wife, Brandi, of Azle; daughters, Judy Box of Taylor, Susan Dunlap of Cleburne; sisters, Bobbie Hemrick and Patty Capshaw both of Fort Worth, Betty Brown and husband, Don, of Midwest City, Oklahoma, Shirley Schumacher and husband, Harry, of Weatherford, and Kay Ellis of Cleburne; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
