A memorial service celebrating the life of Richard “Rick” Horton, 67, of Cleburne, Texas will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Robert Herzig officiating.
There will be no viewing or visitation at the funeral home.
Rick Horton passed away on Monday, November 28, 2011 in Cleburne. He was born in Tuxedo, New York on June 9, 1944 the son of Mildred (Stevens) and Clarence Gilbert Horton.
Rick attended both Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and Syracuse University; and served his country in the U.S. Air Force. He married Linda Gail Baldwin on June 26, 1971 in El Dorado, Arkansas.
Rick was an engineer with Southwestern Bell, now AT&T. He had a love for classic cars, traveling, golf, bowling, scuba diving and his family. Rick was a member of First United Methodist Church in Cleburne.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Rick Horton is survived by his wife, Gail Horton; son, Bobby Horton and wife Gari, of San Antonio; grandsons, Cameron and Jack; and granddaughter, Reagan.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First United Methodist Youth Dept., P.O. Box 114, Cleburne, Texas 76033.
