Funeral services for Ina Lee (Cooke) Roden-Brown, 83, of Cleburne, Texas will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 4, 2026, in the Rosser Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Dennis Camp officiating. Burial will follow in Watts Chapel Cemetery with Peter Pope, Chris Marr, Ryan Cooke, Steve Kuklies, Milton Cooke, and Jeff Tillman serving as pallbearers.
Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 3, 2026 at Rosser Funeral Home.
Ina Lee passed away on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at her home surrounded by her family.
A lifelong resident of Cleburne, she was born on January 17, 1943, the daughter of Ina Mae (Morrow) and Carrol Cooke. She married Bill Roden on February 12, 1965 in Glen Rose, Texas. They had two sons, Bill and Tom.
Ina Lee graduated from Cleburne High School and then attended Tarleton State University, Texas Wesleyan University, and East Texas State University earning her Bachelors and Masters in education. After teaching for many years for Cleburne ISD, Ina Lee was named principal of Adams Elementary where she served until her retirement. She was a member of Watts Chapel Global Methodist Church.
After the death of her beloved first husband Bill in 1995, Ina Lee married Weldon Brown. She and Weldon enjoyed life and retirement until his death in 2013.
Ina Lee had a big personality which carried through her teaching and especially raising her boys. She enjoyed traveling and the outdoors, picnics and cookouts. She was a loving sports momma and grandmomma and was always ready to cheer them on! Her grandbabies were the light of her life. It was evident by the way she lit up every time she saw them. She loved her family and they loved her. Ina Lee will be dearly missed.
She is preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Bill Roden; and second husband, Weldon Brown.
She is survived by her sons, Bill Roden and wife, Gaye, and Tom Roden, all of Cleburne; grandchildren, Scott Roden, Jessica Roden Warriner and husband, Darren, Will Roden, Reilly Roden, Kylie Roden, Madi Roden, Makenna Roden, and Aria Roden; great grandchildren, Harper Moore, Ayden Moore, Jackson Roden, and Sawyer Warriner; several nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends.
