Alvarado—Funeral services for Howard S. Jackson, 75, of Alvarado, Texas will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 26, 2011 in the Greenacres Memorial Park Mausoleum with the Rev. Kathie Moss officiating.
A visitation will be held from 6 – 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at Rosser Funeral Home.
Mr. Jackson, a retired mechanical engineer for Bell Helicopter, passed away Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at his home surrounded by his family. Mr. Jackson was born in Chattanooga, Tenn. on November 9, 1935.
He married LaDonna Laymons on September 6, 1958.
Howard was preceded in death by his parents, Conrad and Florence Jackson; brothers, Fletcher and Wayne; and nephew, Marvin.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, LaDonna; son, Steven and wife, Sheila; daughter Katrina and husband, Kirk; 11 grandchildren; two sisters-in law, Betty and Faye; numerous “adopted” children and very cherished friends.
