Funeral services for James Bolliver Dorsett, Jr., 81, of Bulls Gap, Tennessee will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Friday, November 3, 2023 in the Greenacres Mausoleum Chapel. Entombment will follow in the Greenacres Mausoleum.

James Bolliver Dorsett, Jr. passed away on Thursday, October 26, 2023 in Bulls Gap, Tennessee. He was born August 13, 1942 in Waco, Texas to Lela (Anderson) and James B. Dorsett, Sr. He married Billie J. Howe in February of 1968 in Weatherford, Texas.

Mr. Dorsett was a retired Master Chief in the U.S. Navy, with 25 years of active service and five years of reserve duty. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Also James was a foster parent for many years. James was a very hard worker who loved to collect and build model cars and he collected hats. He was a devout Christian and a member of Cross Roads Assembly of God Church. James was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Ralph F. Carreon, II.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Billie J. Dorsett; daughters, Linda Harwell, Brenda Henry and husband, Brian and Teresa Martinez and husband, Chris; five grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; two great-great grand-blessings on the way and many other extended family and friends.
