James Hallman, Jr.

James Ernest Hallman, Jr., passed away Thursday, Dec. 14, 2023, in his home. He was born in Cleburne on Dec. 14, 1977, the son of Kathy (Bolin) and James Ernest Hallman, Sr.

James graduated high school in Cleburne, in 1996 and would attend one year at McMurry University. A born business man, he opened Hill County Equipment Rental in Jan. 2000, and then relocated to what is now Hallman Equipment Rental in Alvarado Texas. Showing great determination and resilience, he ran these stores for 23 years.

In 1985, James would meet his wife, Micah Kennon. They were married on Jan. 31, 1998, in Cleburne. They celebrated 25 years of marriage and almost an entire lifetime of memories. James had one son, James Luccas Hallman, who is 25. Besides being a loyal family man, he was a lover of baseball, music, an extreme vinyl collector, and on occasion quite the prankster. James was strong in his faith and was a member of First Baptist Church in Cleburne.

James is proceeded in death by his grandparents, William and Ida Ruth Hallman and Perry and Edna Bolin; and uncles, Bill Hallman and Jerry Bolin.

He is survived by his wife, Micah Hallman, of Cleburne; son, Luccas Hallman of Chicago, Illinois;  parents, Jim and Kathy Hallman, of Hico, Texas; mother-in-law, Gail Bruner, of Cleburne; sisters, Kathryn Hallman Hall and husband, Jay, Laura Beth Hallman Dawson and husband, Stephen, all of Cleburne; nephew, Caden Hall; nieces, Ellie Hall and Hannah Dawson; aunts and uncles, Ruth and Robert Scogin, Perry and Patsy Bolin and Nancy Hallman; several cousins and many other family members and friends.

Funeral services for James Ernest Hallman, Jr. 46, of Cleburne Texas will be conducted at 2:30 PM, Monday, Dec.18, 2023 at Rosser Funeral Home Chapel. A visitation will be held from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m., prior to the service. A private family burial will be held at Rosehill cemetery with pallbearers, Blake Bolin, Clay Bolin, Andrew Bolin, Jay Scogin, Will Hallman and Stephen Dawson serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Jay Hall, Darrell Allred, Steven Herrin, Carl Deauman and Aurora Guevara.

In lieu of flowers, we request donations be made to the juvenile diabetes foundation at JDRF.org.
