George R. “Buddy” Jewell
Rio Vista – Services for George R. “Buddy” Jewell, 68, will be conducted at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2011 at Faith Temple Church of Cleburne. Burial will follow in the Rio Vista Cemetery. The Rev. Weldon Coble will officiate. The family will receive visitors 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2011 at Rosser Funeral Home.
Buddy passed away on Saturday, Dec. 24, 2011 in Fort Worth, Texas. He was born Aug. 16, 1943 in Sparks, Georgia to Robert Manuel Jewell and Rudine Noles Jewell. Buddy married Linda Mae Clements on May 27, 1966 in Waxahachie, Texas. He was self-employed as a welder and a member of Faith Temple Church where he served as head deacon.
Buddy was preceded in death by his father; step-mother; and two sisters.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Mae Jewell of Rio Vista; daughters, Carolyn Sue Jewell of Cleburne, Carolyn June Followell of Keene, Linda Darlene Huskey and husband Darrell of Alicia, Arkansas, Crystal Gail Gilliland and husband Dennis of Rio Vista; son; Tommy Wayne Jewell of Cleburne; mother, Rudine Sallee of Auburndale, Florida; four brothers and seven sisters; 13 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
