John Paul Fitch

Memorial services for John Paul Fitch, 67, of Cleburne, Texas will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, September 9, 2023 in the Rosser Funeral Home Chapel.

John Paul Fitch was born on July 10, 1956 in Salem, Ohio to Barbara Mae (Runyon) and Rush Fitch. John graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Science from Malone College in Canton, Ohio. He worked at Vought Aircraft in Dallas, TX for 10 years. Later, he became the manager of Majestic Liquor, where he became a Bourbon Specialist.

He had a love for Cigars and smooth Bourbon. His love for Country music did not go unnoticed. He enjoyed Karaoke on the weekends where he was known for singing "Trouble" by Travis Tritt, "Sold" by John Michael Montgomery and "Keep your Hands to Yourself" by The Georgia Satellites with his daughter, Alye.

One of Alye's favorite memories of her Dad is when he would take her to the park to catch baby frogs in red solo cups. He let her have as many animals as she wanted, like Elvis the Turtle, Black Beauty the Bunny, Princess the Hamster and Scooter the Cat.

John's brother, James Fitch's favorite memory was when James was driving and decided to make a quick stop at the car wash and John yelled out "Hold the Soap!" John's sister, Deborah Martin's favorite memory of John is when she would make him laugh all the time on the phone. It was their special bond that they had.

John is preceded in death by his parents, Barbara and Rush Fitch; sister, Barbara Jean; and grandparents Mable and Mosey Runyon and Andy and Julie Fitch.

He is survived by his daughter, Alye Fitch; brother James Fitch; sister Deborah Martin;  uncles, Jess Fitch,  Bill Blackburn, and Virgil Fitch; nephews, James and Josh Sneddon, grandchildren, Keagan and Kinsley Williams; great niece, Aria Sneddon; great nephew, Logan Sneddon; and many cousins and second cousins.
