John Stanley

A memorial service for John Olen Stanley, 66, of Cleburne, Texas will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, March 18, 2023 in the Rosser Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Kim Higdon officiating. 
John Olen Stanley died Saturday, January 28, 2023 at Community Hospice House in Burleson, Texas following a recent illness. He was born March 7, 1956 in Eldorado, Illinois the son of John A "Jack" Stanley and the late Alberta R. (Barger) Stanley of Cleburne.
Born in Eldorado, Illinois on March 7, 1956, John moved to Texas in 1980 at the age of 24 and spend most of his adult life in Cleburne working for Dolly Madison, Pedigo's, and most recently Harris Oil Company before poor health forced an early retirement.
John will be remembered for his beautiful singing voice and natural ability to play the piano.  He was also and avid gardener with a knack for growing flowers and was known in the family as "The Greenest Thumb in Texas"!
John was loved by all who knew him as a kind, thoughtful, generous man who would go out of his way to help others in need. 
He was a beloved son, a devoted brother, and an adoring uncle to his three nieces, four nephews, four great nieces, and four great nephews who will surely miss their "Uncle John".
John is survived by his father, John "Jack" Stanley of Cleburne; sister, Lois Scheier, of San Antonio, Texas; brother, JD Stanley and wife, Shelley, of Cleburne; and many other aunts, uncles, and cousins from Illinois, Indiana, and Kentucky.
