Obituary for Anita Johnson (Diaz)
A memorial service celebrating the life of Anita Diaz Johnson, 89, of Cleburne, Texas will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 2, 2022 in the Rosser Funeral Home Chapel.
Anita Johnson passed away at home January 26, 2022. Anita was born March 3, 1932, in Fowlerton, Texas, the daughter of Delfino and Santos Diaz. Anita lived in Mena, AR for a short time before returning to Texas. Anita married Stanley Johnson in 1979.
Anita loved the Lord, she read her Bible daily until she could not anymore, she then turned to listening to many services on tv. Anita prayed daily for each of her children. She wanted peace and love between all. To help one another, forgive and turn to the Lord.
Anita was full of Life. Anita loved to go fishing, camping, taking long rides to places her and Stanley visited and where he grew up. Endless love of spending time with her grandbabies. She was proud of each one of them. She would tell us to cry of her a little but to celebrate her going home.
Sing to Me; Sing me a song of Praise and Glory. Help this wondering one to understand that when I fall into an eternal deep sleep that I am clinging to my Saviors hands.
Anita is survived by her nine children; son, Robert Cuevas, wife Sherry of Fort Worth, Texas; son, Rick Cuevas, wife Karen of Cleburne, Texas; son, Gilbert Cuevas of Fort Worth, Texas; daughter, Sara Sevy, husband LeGrand of Cleburne, Texas; son, Terry Cuevas of Fort Worth, Texas; daughter, Anna Mount, husband Johnny of Lubbock, Texas; daughter, Carmen Matheny, husband Joe of Cleburne, Texas; daughter, Laura Griffith, husband Dwayne of Cleburne, Texas; daughter, Phyllis Godoy of Lakeland, Florida; sister, Eva Miller of Anderson, Indiana; sister, Michelle Diaz of Chicago, Illinois; many nieces and nephews as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.
She is proceeded in death by her parents, Delfino and Santos Diaz; her husband, Stanley Johnson; siblings, Charley Diaz, Delfino Diaz Jr, Simona Almenderez and Enedelia Diaz; children, Sandra Ochoa, Josefine Diaz and Boy Martinez.
