Bryan White passed away Tuesday, March 7, 2023 in Glen Rose, Texas. He was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on March 22, 1949, the son of Florence Catherine (Rachal) and George W.H. White.
Bryan married Debra Krueger on March 21, 1970. He served his country in the United States Army/Air Force and was a telecommunications engineer. Bryan spent 51 years in the telecommunications field. He started his career as a telephone pole climber, wearing starched jeans, button down pearl snap shirts, a cowboy hat and boots. He ended his career as a telecommunications engineer, wearing khaki pants, pull over polo shirts, and slip on shoes.
He enjoyed his 2 week cross country vacations, camping, sitting in the sun, and smoking cigars.
He had the privilege of traveling all 50 states, the Bahamas, Canada, Mexico and Rome, Italy. His most favorite place on earth was Yellowstone National Park during all the seasons, making his last trip this past summer in his RV.
He had many hobbies throughout his life, which included woodworking, metal detecting, road tripping, and photography. He was a certified do'er. Procrastination was not in his vocabulary. If he had an idea, he ran with it and he did it right.
He was a devout Catholic who spent a lot of his younger years sitting in confession.
He was a Dotting son, proud brother, providing spouse, playful father, and the Fun Uncle.
He spent the last 28 years spoiling and aggravating his first grandchild, Kendall. Kendall's favorite memories with Papa is painting his toenails, dying his hair with kool aid, and drawing tattoos on his arms with a sharpie, especially when he would go to work wearing it all. Making her laugh by putting asparagus in his ears at Capital Grill in Washington DC, and wearing his "moose tracks" underwear in Wal Mart. The last 8 years he spent teasing his grandson, Griffin, and introducing him to all his first tools. Griffin's favorite memories of Papa is when he took him to Disneyworld and bought him the goofy blanket, letting him play with all his power tools, playing in the backyard, and teaching him to shoot his BB gun.
He leaves behind his partner in crime of 53 years, Debra, who went along with all of his shenanigans and served him his nightly cookies and ice cream in his recliner. He earned his spot in Heaven by loving, caring, and being a very proud father to his special needs daughter, Karen, for 47 years. He spent many, many hours driving her around backroads, listening to old country music just as loud as she always wanted. In 2019, he found out he had another daughter, Nioami and she had 2 sons, Xavien & Myles. Although their time was limited, he welcomed them, loved them, and cherished the time he did have. Now, He is reunited with his best friend, Barney, his yellow lab.
He was the middle child of 7, always known as the bossy one and the leader of the pack.
He leaves behind a huge hole in many hearts, but mainly, a big number of family and friends that will forever miss his Annual Griswold family Christmas picture. He was truly one of a kind.
Bryan was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Mary Maxene Long; and brothers-in-law, Lynn Daniel, Mike Capps.
He is survived by his wife, Debra; family, Kimberly Katharine Britton and husband, Brian, Karen Renee White, Bryan Christopher White, Nioami Mae Ybarra and husband, Javiar, George R.
