Jetty Kate "Katy" Kimbrow (Chastain)

Graveside services for Jetty Kate “Katy” (Chastain) Kimbrow, 92, of Keene, Texas will be conducted at 10 a.m. Sunday, November 8, 2020 at Keene Memorial Park Cemetery with Pastor Gary Herr officiating.
Katy Kimbrow went to sleep Wednesday, November 4, 2020 in Keene. She was born July 6, 1928 near Siloam Springs, Arkansas to Mamie Ethel (Morris) and Hugh Frances Chastain.
Katy was a twin, but sadly, her twin was still born.
At 18, Katy was working at the family produce market. A young man came by to check out the watermelons. Soon, it was not only the watermelons he was interested in and a whirlwind courtship took place. The marriage of Katy to Tommy Jack “Dick” Kimbrow produced three children and a union that lasted 56 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Dick in 2002.
Katy had seven siblings and is survived by one sister, Dorothy “Winona” Stewart of Cleburne.
She is also survived by her son, Tommy Jack Kimbrow, Jr. and wife, Sally, along with their children, Laura and Chris; son, Ronald Hugh Kimbrow and wife, Kerrie, along with their children, Kaili and Jared; and daughter, Nancy Leona, who is known as “Doctor Nancy” around “these parts”.
We are anxiously awaiting the day that we will be reunited with Mom and Dad.
