Lillian "Lil" Laverne Smith

Lillian Laverne “Lil” Smith, 94, of Cleburne, Texas passed away Friday, August 5, 2022 in Cleburne. She was born July 10, 1928 in Cleburne, Texas.

 Lil worked for Johnson County Tax Assessor Collector’s Office and retired from the Central Appraisal District of Johnson County. She loved to play Duplicate Bridge and spending time with family and friends. Lil was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Cleburne. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jack Smith; mother, Lillian Ashcraft; and sister, Vivian Franklin.

Survivors include her niece and nephews; Neil Franklin and wife, Ranella of Fort Worth, Mark Franklin and wife, Kelly of Bozeman, Montana and Nancy Estes and husband, Mike of Fort Worth; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A private family graveside service will be held at a later date.
