Linda Kay Bolling

Linda Kay Bolling passed away to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, July 29, 2023. Linda was born on October 20, 1941 in Cleburne, Texas to JD and Margaret Strickland. She married Gary Bolling on November 15, 1971. She was a lifelong member of Field Street Baptist Church where she and Gary taught Sunday school together for many years. 

Linda was an amazing woman who will be remembered for her warm, generous spirit and who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She retired from the Texas State Department of Human Services after 33 years of service as a Supervisor. 

Linda loved working with her hands. She could often be found crocheting, knitting, sewing, and most of all cooking. She loved spending time with her family and granddaughters teaching them all the things she enjoyed doing. Linda always put everyone’s wants above her own, and she was a very generous and kind, loving soul. 

Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Bolling; her parents JD and Margaret Strickland; brother, Charles Strickland; and two sisters, Elaine Lanman, and Nelda Parker. 

Linda is survived by her daughter, Stacy Bolling (Freeman) of Bedford, TX; her son, Brian Bolling; granddaughters Ashlyn Freeman of Lexington, OK; and Megan Freeman of White Settlement, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be at a later date.
