Graveside services for Billy Gene Looper, 81, of Cleburne, Texas will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 12, 2012 at Price’s Chapel Cemetery.
There will be no visitation or viewing.
Billy Gene Looper went to be with the Lord on April 23, 2012. Billy was born February 5, 1931 to Leonard and Edna Looper. He was a graduate of Cleburne High School, where he was a yell leader and fell in love with and married Barbara Louise Anderson. They raised four children.
His final three years were spent under the watchful and caring eye of his daughter, Vickey.
Billy will be remembered for his infectious laugh and his energetic spirit.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Barbara Louise Looper in 1996; son, Ronald Gene Looper in 2011; and grandson, Micah Aaron Looper.
Billy is survived by brothers, Merle Looper and wife, Jimmie, Donald Looper and wife, Denver; and sister, Jane Swain and husband, Glynn; daughters, Sharon Osborne and husband, John, Vickey Styron, and Diane Weible and husband, Glenn; seven grandchildren, Angela Styron and husband, Jerry Flynn, Trey Styron and wife, Nina, Sarah Clemons, Lori Whisenant, Todd Weible, Christi von Ravenhorst, and Kimberly Zweiger.
He is also survived by 17 great grandchildren, who gave him the name "Grandpa Loopy", and one great-great grandchild.
