G. O. “Otis” Lord
Burleson—Funeral services for G. O. “Otis” Lord, 69, currently a resident of Burleson, Texas will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, January 20, 2012, at Victory Family Church, 455 NW John Jones in Burleson. Pastor Mark Greenroy will officiate, assisted by the Rev. Rick Douglas.
Private burial: Burleson Memorial Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors from 6 – 8 p.m. Thursday, January 19, 2012 at Rosser Funeral Home in Cleburne.
Mr. Lord passed away on Monday, January 16, 2012 in Fort Worth, Texas. He was born in Robert Lee, Texas on June 22, 1942 to Opal Loretta (McGallian) and Gilford L. Lord.
Otis married Donna Wright on May 26, 1961 in Parker, Texas. He was retired from the Santa Fe Railroad where he was employed as supervisor for the mechanic department. Otis attended Victory Family Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Frank and S. W. Lord.
Otis is survived by his wife, Donna Wright Lord; son, Randy Lord and wife, Candy, all of Burleson; daughter, Tami Lord Murphy of Cleburne; grandchildren, Brandon Murphy, Taylor Murphy, Ashlyn Lord, and Cameron Lord; great granddaughter, Maci Rae Murphy; sister, Kathy Ward and husband, Roger, of Cleburne; sister-in-law, Lois Lord of Dallas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to Community Hospice, 6100 Western Place, Ste. 500, Fort Worth, Texas 76107.
